Tony's Sizzle Reels

The Sizzle Reel Reimagined

Too often, a standard sizzle reel is just a fast-cut montage of flashy shots, cool transitions, dramatic music, and a blur of random highlights with no real context. It may look impressive for a moment, but it rarely tells you who the person is, what they’ve done, what they believe in, or why their experience matters.

That’s exactly why I wanted to reimagine the sizzle reel.

Instead of another polished highlight mashup, I built my sizzle reel as a narrative story. A story about where I’ve been, what I’ve built, what I’ve learned, and how decades of experience across video production, editing, motion design, storytelling, and innovation have shaped the way I create today.

Because the truth is… great work is not just about flashy edits.

  • It’s about vision.
  • It’s about instincts.
  • It’s about problem solving.
  • It’s about understanding story, audience, emotion, and impact.

A reel should do more than show clips. It should reveal the person behind the work.

The Tony Knoss 2026 Sizzle Reel Reimagined is my answer to the old model. Less random spectacle. More meaning. More personality. More story. More truth.

In the end, anyone can cut together cool-looking moments. What matters is whether you can make them have meaning.

Tony Knoss Professional Summary

Seven-time Emmy Award-winning video producer, editor, motion animator, and emerging web series showrunner with 25+ years of experience turning ideas into polished, story-driven content.

I can take a project from research and concept development through scripting, visual design, production, editing, motion graphics, sound design, publishing, and performance analysis.

Most creative professionals specialize in one or two stages. I can lead and execute across the full chain without losing sight of the story, the audience, or the business objective. That range allows me to move quickly, solve problems early, and protect the creative vision from concept through delivery.

My advantage is not simply that I can perform several roles. It is that I understand how every decision in one stage affects the next. I can write with the edit in mind, design with motion in mind, shoot with distribution in mind, and package content with audience behavior in mind.

I bring more than 25 years of experience across broadcast television, documentary and journalistic storytelling, corporate communications, government communications, nonprofit campaigns, enterprise technology, branded content, social media, and generative AI production.

I know how to find the real story inside a complicated subject. I understand what to remove, where to create tension, how to control pacing, when to reveal information, and how to make an audience feel something before asking them to care.

My seven Regional Emmy Awards and broader industry recognition provide outside validation of that editorial and production ability. I am not simply operating software. I am making deliberate choices about meaning, rhythm, emotion, clarity, and impact.

One of my most commercially valuable strengths is turning difficult, technical, or traditionally dry subject matter into content people actually want to watch.

I have worked with enterprise software, cybersecurity, government policy, taxes, public information, healthcare, dentistry, nonprofit fundraising, financial news, and technical education. In each case, I look for the human hook, the visual metaphor, the emotional angle, the comedy, the tension, or the cleanest possible explanation.

A great deal of content is easy to make interesting when the footage is already exciting. My strength is finding the story when the subject does not arrive prepackaged with drama.

I do not treat motion graphics as decoration. I use motion design to explain ideas, guide the viewer's eye, improve comprehension, establish brand identity, create rhythm, and increase the perceived value of a production.

My experience with editing, animation, typography, visual design, sound, and compositing allows me to build motion directly into the editorial language of a piece. Graphics are not an afterthought. They are part of how the story communicates.

This makes me especially effective as an editorial motion designer and producer-editor, rather than an editor who relies only on footage or templates.

This is one of my most future-facing strengths. I combine decades of professional production discipline with modern generative AI workflows.

I understand that prompting alone is not filmmaking. Strong AI content still requires editorial judgment, continuity, cinematography, story structure, sound design, pacing, visual consistency, brand awareness, and professional delivery standards.

I use generative AI to build real production pipelines, including concept research, series treatments, character development, scripts, production stills, shot lists, animation prompts, voice-over, music, promotional assets, and finished edited videos.

I am best positioned not merely as an AI artist, but as an AI-native video producer and creative director who knows how to turn emerging tools into finished media.

My work spans serious news and documentary material, comedy, corporate storytelling, technical education, social media shorts, cinematic promos, serialized drama, music, branding, YouTube packaging, and AI-generated entertainment concepts.

That range does not come at the expense of execution. I can change tone, format, and audience while maintaining structure, pacing, production quality, and strategic intent.

This versatility is especially valuable in environments where a creative leader must move quickly between formats while keeping the work cohesive and professional.

I do not create content and simply hope the algorithm is feeling generous that day. I evaluate audience retention, click-through rate, titles, thumbnails, search intent, metadata, viewer behavior, competitive content, topic selection, packaging, and opportunities for re-editing.

I combine creative production with performance analysis. That means I can not only make the content, but also study how audiences respond, identify why something worked or failed, and improve the next release.

My results, including major channel performance improvements in previous roles, support the value of combining hands-on production with strategic YouTube thinking.

Jay Udavcak

Accomplished Chief Executive Officer | Trusted Executive Advisor

Tony Knoss is that one in a million “creative professional”, who truly lives up to every bit of that description.

I hired Tony first for my own company, Big Picture, Inc., and then continued to work with him after I sold the company to Yes&, so I am speaking from many years of first hand exposure in what I’m about to say...

As a “creative”, Tony brings decades of award-winning experience as a DP/Cinematographer, Writer, Producer, Director, Designer, Motion Graphics Artist, Audio Engineer, and Video Post Production Master Editor. Tony not only knows how to operate smoothly at an extremely high level of technical and artistic proficiency, but he also understands the importance of the storytelling foundation in all his production efforts. Despite his enormous capability of the trickiest of emerging technology, above all else, Tony remains foremost dedicated to his adherence in telling engaging stories through his work.

As a “professional”, Tony is a highly intelligent, pleasant, funny, engaging, and effective communicator. He often took the direct client lead on large projects he was working on. Not out of ego, but because he wanted to ensure all of us were on the same page in providing finished projects to our clients utilizing the very best of our abilities. Tony understands the bigger client picture in everything he tackles. He’s excellent at “reading the room”, and I’ve watched client after client come to trust any advice and guidance Tony shares. They often sought Tony’s approval of the various stages their own projects proceeded through, and it is this absolute trust that exemplifies everything Tony brings to the production table.

I’m proud of hiring Tony. I’m proud of working with and alongside him for many years. And I’m most proud of being able to call him a trusted friend and professional peer. The production world needs more people like Tony Knoss, full stop. He is simply the best and adds significant compounded value to any team he’s a part of.

Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) @ YES& | Brand Strategist

You know that the work is not only going to get done, but it’ll likely soar beyond your expectations when you work with a seasoned pro like Tony.

I had the pleasure of seeing Tony integrate into our agency environment without a flaw, and then led the team on AI, tight editing, and content creation that we could always count on.

I would highly recommend Tony as an in house or independent content creator whose list of experience goes well beyond what you would expect from someone who excels at video editing. And on top of that, he’s a great person who doesn’t slow down the process with unnecessary concerns. He’ll figure it out on his own and bring it to the team.

You will not be disappointed in bringing Tony into any storytelling environment.

Video Editor and Engineer

I’ve worked with Tony Knoss for the last 2 Years at Yes&. Tony has demonstrated excellence in his video editing and compositing abilities.

I’ve been impressed by his quick work putting together very effective promos and sizzle reels.

He’s been leading the charge at our agency to test and introduce artificial intelligence tools to our video and audio workflow. Tony is a self-starter. He’s a master of the Adobe suite as well as several other video production tools.

I’m pleased to endorse Tony in video production, video editing, and post-production.
